Albania - forgotten piece of Europe

In this two weeks long trip we´ll visit three virgin rivers - the Osum river with the its breathtaking canyon, the Vjosa river which flows through many old villages and the Drinit river in its deep valley. We´ll also visit many historical sites, some of them as old as from Roman times. For example Kruja, Gjirokaster, Berat... For relaxation we will also visit natural artesian spring Siri i Kalter.

We´ll paddle in inflatable canoes Rio. The river´s stream is swift but not too dangerous. Difficulty factor is between WW1 and WW3, but with the stable inflatable canoes, no previous experience with canoeing required.

Our guide knows Albania very well as she has visited the country multiple times. She will tell you a lot about history and culture of this country.

The price of this trip includes:

• transfer by mikrobus from Prague

• rental of the canoeing equipment (inflatable canoe Rio, single-bladed paddle, water-proof case and life-saving jacket).

• canoeing instructors/guides and driver (who speaks English).

• transportation of your luggage

PROGRAM:

Day 1: Meeting in Prague on Friday afternoon.

Day 2: night transfer, break in Croatian town Split, transfer to the Albania.

Day 3: Swimming in sea. Historical town Kruja. Transfer to the Vjosa river, thermal springs.

Day 4-6: Paddling on Vjosa river

Day 7: Historical town Gjirokasteru and swimming in Siri i Kaltër - big natural artesian spring.

Day 8: Historical town Berat - castle, museums, quite streets and pleasant coffee shops. Transfer to the Osum river canyon.

Day 9: Osum river canyon.

Day 10: Transfer to Peshkopi.

Day 11-12: Paddling down the Drinit river.

Day 13-14: Trip by ferry boat on Drinit river damand transfer backt o Czech Republic

Day 15: Arrival to Czech Republic in the afternoon.
