Dunajec river and Poprad river - a trip from Poland through Slovakia to Poland

Dunajec river arises from confluence of White and Black Dunajec rivers at the Polish town Nowy Targ. Its most famous part is the Pieniny canyon, but it is very interesting for canoeing on almost hundred kilometers of its stream. Pieniny canyon is karst hulk where the river found its way through the calcite mountains and formed interesting shapes. From Pieniny we will go through multiple gentle rapids and Polish villages to the town Nowy Sacz.

The Poprad river is a tributary of Dunajec, which flows into Dunajec at Nowy Sacz. We will spend one day paddling alongside the Slovakian-Polish border.

The price for this trip includes:

• transfer by bus from Prague

• rental of canoeing equipment (canoe, single-bladed paddle, water-proof case and a life-saving jacket).

• canoeing program and assistance of canoeing instructors and driver (who speaks English).

• transportation of your luggage

PROGRAM :

MEETING: In Prague or Kolin on Saturday at noon

Monday - Thursday: The Dunajec river from Nowy Targ to Nowy Sacz.

Friday: Poprad river. In the evening transfer back to the Czech Republic. 

Saturday: In morning hours arrival to Kolín or Prague.
